The Barking Bugle is an online newspaper written by dogs for dogs, headed up by Norfolk celebrity dog,  Frodo Cavalier and his team of K9 repawters.

Our aim is to give us dogs a platform to bark about the issues that really concern us such as health, welfare, charity and lifestyle, whilst keeping you up to date with all the latest doggy news in Norfolk and beyond.

On our website you’ll also find a handy Doggy Tourist Guide which is packed full of information about the best places to eat, sleep, play and includes our free show and events guide.

The Barking Bugle is a member of the ‘World Dog Press’, and our Editor, Frodo Cavalier, has appeared on BBC Breakfast TV and Sky News.  Members of the team have also been featured in National Press publications such as the ‘The telegraph’ and ‘Take A Break Magazine’.  We have a monthly column in Hunstanton Town and Around and are Guest Bloggers at many major events such as Crufts and Dog Fest.  Several of our doggy repawters have been lucky enough to meet our neighbours, the Royal Family, when they visit Sandringham on their holidays.

The Barking Bugle organises several dog shows in the area including the ever popular Hunstanton Fun Dog Show,  the Wells Beach Bark Up and the Christmas Santa Pawty!

We hope you enjoy reading our articles and hearing about all our adventures!

Need some advice as Tessa Eagle-Swan & myself are going to organise a charity fun dog show & need stall holders for an event. Can you recommend any as you do your fabulous Hunstanton show? Also would Rex Makemson like a stall & would Paul Hampson be available to take photos on the day? We are deciding on either Saturday 20th May or Saturday 19th August at Great Fransham. Amanda I could do with your experience please?

Hi Barking Bugle, we have a holiday bungalow on the dunes at Hemsby. Lots of people have asked about the beach being dog friendly and when I tell them what the restrictions are they aren’t sure to believe me. Would it be poss for you to amend what you’ve put here for Hemsby at all please? The only restriction for dogs is 100m either side of the beach entrance which is only a small area. I’d be happy to supply notification from Great Yarmouth on this. Hemsby is massively dog friendly, dogs are allowed in all the pubs/restaurants etc. It just concerns me as a lot of people asking to stay with us also read your pages on facebook etc. On your list here you say words to the effect of “avoid at all costs”! And it is a beautiful beach.

Hi Barking Bugle, please could you send me some information about having a doggy treats stall at the Hunstanton Doggy Fun Day on 13th May. I make doggy treats that are free from dairy, eggs, gluten, lactose and animal products and are for doggies that have allergies and also those lucky ones that don’t.

I look forward to hearing from you 🙂

    Barky x

You could try Pet Stay Norfolk as they have carers across the county. Woof Frodo x http://www.petstay.net/find-your-local-branch/dog-sitting-norfolk/
