If you’re a multi-dog family it can be really challenging to find places to stay on your holidays. I’ve had a good old sniff around on the internet to see what I could find and I’ve asked my pals to help as well. Holiday Cottages.co.uk – Have lots of cottages throughout the UK and some take up to 5 dogs. Charges apply – £20 per dog for up to 7 nights.
Welcome Cottages – We’ve used this company a lot! Easy to use website with a search button for up to 3 dogs. However, we’ve phoned them on many occasions and asked if they would accept 4 and we’ve never been turned down. Some cottages charge for dogs but some state ‘Pets Stay Free’! Properties thought out the UK and some in Europe.
Cottage Holidays – The search on their website allows for 3 dogs but it’s always worth phoning if you see somewhere you really like – they may take more.
Marsdens Devon Cottages – They have a search for 3+ dogs. Charges £30.00 per stay per dog.
Skyes Cottages – Have a search facility on their website for up to 6 dogs. Various locations.
South Hams Holidays – Devon. Unlimited dogs welcome and no surcharges. Get in quick as this one books up fast.
North Norfolk Holiday Cottages – Have 2 properties on their listing that accept unlimited dogs – Lark Cottage, Titchwell and Samphire Cottage, Docking.
Exmoor Cottage Holidays – Exmoor. Allows up to 4 dogs.
Multi-Dog Holidays – Exmoor. No limit on number of dogs and no charges. Books up fast!
Hollybank Cottages – Lake District. Have one cottage that accepts up to 4 dogs.
Woodland Cottages – Devon. Unlimited dogs welcome.
Orchard Lodges – Devon. Allows up to 4 dogs.
East Ruston Holiday Cottages – Norfolk. No extra charges for dogs and numbers are very flexible. I’ve heard of 17 staying!
Bed and Basket – Based in Cornwall. No limit on number of dogs and no charges.
Mains Cottages – Northumberland. No limit as such, based on owners’ requirements.
Marble Hollow – Isle of Skye. Doesn’t say how many dogs allowed on their website but we’ve been reliably informed that they will take up to 6.
Laverock Holiday Cottages – Yorkshire Dales. Up to 4 dogs can stay free of charge, anymore and there is a £25.o0 charge per dog.
Teddy’s Retreat – Norfolk. Up to 5+ dogs allowed.
Helsbury Park – Cornwall. We been told 5+ dogs allowed.
Paw Prints – No limit on number of dogs and no charges. We’ve been trying to book this one for years, very popular.
Coast Guard Cottage – Saltburn by the Sea. No charge for dogs – will accept up to 5.
Viewforth Cottage – Dumfriesshire. Dogs go free – all breeds and multiple dogs welcome.
West Wales Holidays – Ceredigion. Accepts 8 small dogs, or 6 medium dogs or 4 large.
Brechfa Forest Barns – Carmarthenshire. Unlimited number of dogs can stay and no age or breed discrimination.
Quarry Cottage – Exmoor. Unlimited dogs!
Dawn Holiday Bungalow – Norfolk. Unlimited number of dogs welcome free of charge. The accommodation has sea views and immediate access to a dog friendly beach.
Holidays For Dogs – South Wales. Cottage that does not appear to have any limit on the number of dogs.
Little Dumpledale Farm – Pembrokeshire. Their website states largest party of dogs so far 22! Can you beat that?
Tubbs Delight – Devon. Will accept up to 4 dogs.
Pack Holidays – Norfolk. A selection of holiday cottages with no limit on numbers.
West Lease Farm – North Yorkshire. Holidays cottages with open fields and views. No restrictions on number of dogs.
Flint Cottage/Coach House/The Stable/The Orchard – Norfolk and registered with Cottages 4 You. They state 2 dogs only but the owners have told us they would take 4 dogs depending on size.
Viewforth – Dumfriesshire. Self catering holiday house. Accepts 4 plus.
Overwater Hall – No charges for dogs. Not sure how many they take but I know someone who went there with 4.
The Golden Lion – Hunstanton, accepts 3 dogs but would most likely take 4 small ones.
